You are invited to join the Tri-City Cycling (TCC) Club for a social ride through some of the best cycling routes the Tri-Cities and Pitt Meadows have to offer.
The ride is in support of the SHARE Food Bank, who provide direct food support to supplement the diets of hundreds of individuals and families each week in the Tri-Cities. SHARE believes people should have access to healthy and nutritious food where they live and in a dignified manner. Over 400 Tri-Cities families receive food from the SHARE Food Bank weekly.
The demand for SHARE’s Food Bank has risen by 48%, with 17% of its clients earning income but still struggling to meet their basic needs. Food Banks Canada reports that one in four adults living with children have experienced hunger over the last year. This is an opportunity to bring our cycling community together and help those who are finding it extremely hard to feed their families in this challenging economy.
SUNDAY AUGUST 11 | 9:00 am
CHECK-IN: 8:15 – 8:45 am
The 2023 TCC Invitational was a great success with raising over $8500 for the SHARE Food Bank!
Thanks to all that have registered in 2023 and we hope to see you in 2024.
Register for the Invitational 2024 edition through the SHARE Food Bank.
Spots are limited so register early!
Thanks to all those that have signed up and see you Sunday August 11th!
Members of the Tri-City Cycling Club will take groups with similar abilities on routes throughout Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Pitt Meadows that will showcase the best of our beautiful backyard. There will be choice of a 60km, 75km, or 100km route that all start and finish at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody.
The ride will end with a picnic in the park with each rider enjoying a well deserved burger (beef, chicken, or veggie) while they rest their legs and enjoy some camaraderie and music. The post ride BBQ is graciously hosted by the Coquitlam Kinsmen with drinks donated by some of our favorite local breweries.
The minimum $30 registration plus anything more you can donate, will go directly the SHARE Food Bank. We are coming together as a community to care for those struggling to make ends meet. Tax receipts are available for those donating more than the minimal $30.
Space is limited so register quickly. This is going to be a great day for riders as we help feed the vulnerable in our communities.
Please note this is a road ride. For safety reasons, only road bikes with drop bars will be permitted. No hybrid, triathlon, time-trial, mountain, or e-bikes. Aero bars are not permitted.
Because making a difference feels good.
So many of us are so fortunate. This is an opportunity to bring our cycling community together and help those who are finding it extremely hard to feed their families in this challenging economy.
Enjoy the camaraderie of your cycling community.
This isn’t a race, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go fast. Expect fun segment challenges along each route. Plan on staying around after the ride to enjoy the music in the park, the nearby breweries, and the great company.
You earned those calories.
Don’t be shy.
A complimentary burger to end off the day. Ain’t nothing wrong with that. Kick back and mow down on a tasty burger that hits the spot.
